"Misty"
Misty is the foundation of Hotwired German Shorthaired Pointers. She was acquired from Louise krasicki. After many years of GSPs, Misty was my first “show quality” dog. She is 22” and 47 pounds. Her head is striking and her topline solid. Tail set is perfect.
In the ring, her claim to fame is her down and backs which are flawless. She also has a pretty side gait.
In the field, she is a “bird brain”. She ranges at a good distance and can find birds easily. We trained for hunt tests, which she could easily pass, just never competed.
Misty is also trained to compete in obedience, rally and agility. She shows a strong desire to please and easily earned her Canine Good Citizen. Any type of training that is thrown at her, she adapts to with little effort. We are also considering becoming a therapy dog.
As a family member, she is the best! She is great with the kids and easily handles new people. She is comfortable with other dogs and other pets. She is even tempered yet cautious and even protective when needed.
Her pedigree is solid containing dual champions and hall of fame dogs. Most notably: Dual CH Stradivaius Baroque, Dual CH Hillhavens Hustler, CH Huntabird’s Main Reason and CH Echo Run’s Corteze’s Choice. Misty is a great example of a German Shorthaired Pointer in her correct conformation, desire to hunt, desire to please, easily trainable and devoted to and protective of the family.
